MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after a 13-year-old said they were taken from a local park and sexually assaulted Wednesday afternoon.
According to an incident report, officers were initially dispatched to Waltham Park off McKenna Boulevard around 3 p.m. for a report of an abduction. By the time officers made it to the park, they learned the victim had returned home before the 911 call was made.
The victim went on to tell police they were taken to an unknown location before an unknown suspect sexually assaulted them. The victim told police the assault happened sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Police are actively investigating any leads, but the suspect is still unidentified. Officials described the suspect in an incident report as a tall Asian man roughly 25-35 years old. He is described as having dark hair. Police said he may also drive a black pickup truck.
