MADISON, Wis. — More than one-quarter of Wisconsinites have fully completed the COVID-19 vaccine series, according to the state Department of Health Services.
A total of 1,467,815 residents have been fully vaccinated, which is 25.2% of the state’s population. Health officials said 2,214,114 have received at least one dose, or 38% of Wisconsin.
Public health officials said half of all Dane County residents have gotten the first dose, while nearly one-third have completed the vaccine series.
More than 3.6 million doses have been administered throughout the state, including 39,414 in the past day.

Wisconsin reported 929 new cases of the virus, a slight increase from Tuesday’s case count. The state has reached an all-time total of 587,561 confirmed cases, with more than 8,800 of those still active.
The seven-day average percent positive by test has remained at 3.8% since Thursday.
At least 6,695 have died of coronavirus complications since the start of the pandemic, with five new deaths confirmed Wednesday. The seven-day rolling average has grown to 823, an amount which hasn’t been that high since mid-February.
An additional 93 people were hospitalized within the past 24 hours, up from Tuesday’s hospitalizations.
