Grant County Bringing Awareness To Autism

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is working to bring more attention to a condition that affects roughly 1 in every 55 children across the US. In a social media post, the sheriffs office showed off a new squad car wrap supporting Autism Awareness. Deputy Duane Jacobson worked with multiple organizations and businesses to get his squad car wrapped with graphics in the hopes of bringing more awareness to autism. Deputy Jacobson is working with some local groups as well to develop more training for law enforcement on how to recognize autism and provide officers with tools to assist them in dealing with a person with autism. The post also thanked support from Aiming For Acceptance, Unified Therapy, WKM Psychology Clinics and Big River Sign Company.
