MOUNT HOREB, Wis — Big things are happening in downtown Mount Horeb as four new businesses have officially opened their doors.
The village hosted a celebration over the weekend, which corresponded with the reopening of the Streatery program.
The first business is Isaac’s Antiques which reopened in the fall under new ownership at 132 E. Main St. The release says the business will still be selling antiques, but it has been introducing new vendors.
Sugar Troll and Gempler’s softly opened their doors in Mid-March. Sugar Troll, which has the same owner as Grumpy Troll Brewpub, is Mount. Horeb’s first candy shop. Guests can find gelato, fudge, macarons, taffy, vintage sweets and craft treats. Sugar Troll is located at 122 E. Main St.
Gempler’s has been an ecommerce business since 1939 and moved its headquarters to Mt. Horeb two years ago. It recently opened its first retail shop at 109 E. Main St.
The last business to open in the area is Jangle Natural Living. It officially opened on April 3. Jangle replaced Isaac’s Soaps. Owner Janelle Holstrom started making goat milk soaps and other natural bath products in 2012 for her company Jangle SOAPWorks. Jangle is selling Holstrom’s handmade soaps and other beauty products and lifestyle items.
