BURKE, Wis. — The Dane County Sheriff’s Office found a woman’s body in the town of Burke on Friday.
A news release said the sheriff’s office could not confirm the person’s identity but noted she matches the description of 59-year-old Eileen G. Brown, who has been missing since Wednesday.
Brown had arrived at the Dane County Regional Airport from Baltimore. She later took a taxi to the Speckled Hen Inn on Portage Road.
Officials said the body was discovered in a wooded area off Portage Road at about 4:45 p.m. The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the death, which is not believed to be suspicious.
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the person’s name after their family is notified.
