MADISON, Wis. — Four people were cited and released during the annual Mifflin Street Block Party on Saturday, per Madison police.
According to an incident report, citations were issued for disorderly conduct, violation of glass-free zone, and open intoxicants on a public street. The report said thousands of people gathered, but it was a lower number compared to years before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Police said officers are also investigating reports of damage to property.
Mifflin residents said Madison Police went door-to-door earlier this week, reminding them of Public Health Madison and Dane County’s order, which doesn’t limit outdoor gatherings, but does require social distancing.
