BURKE, Wis. — The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the body found in the town of Burke was that of a Maryland woman who went missing last week.
A news release said Eileen G. Brown, 58, of Baltimore, Maryland, was found dead Friday near the 5500 block of Portage Road after she went missing Wednesday.
Officials said Brown had arrived at the Dane County Regional Airport from Baltimore. She later took a taxi to the Speckled Hen Inn on Portage Road.
The sheriff’s office said the woman’s death was not believed to be suspicious.
A forensic autopsy was completed Sunday, though preliminary results are pending further investigation. Additional testing is underway.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office and Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office continue to investigate the death.
