Lafayette County health officials today announced the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county. Lafayette County was the last in southwest Wisconsin to not have a confirmed case. In Wisconsin, 173 new confirmed cases and nine more related deaths were announced today by state officials. The state now has a total of 2,440 cases and 77 deaths. But the state’s update today did not include the Lafayette County case. As of today, three cases had been confirmed in both Grant and Iowa counties, while Crawford County had two.
