MADISON, Wis. — A Madison police officer suffered a hand injury after an 18-year-old resisted arrest Wednesday afternoon, according to an incident report.
Police responded to the 10 block of Sinykin Circle at about 1:45 p.m. for a report of a disturbance involving two who knew each other. One of the people had already left by the time officers arrived to the scene.
Police later contacted 18-year-old Sydney Clemons at the West District Station. Officials developed probable cause to arrest Clemons for battery and disorderly conduct. After being told of her pending arrest, the report said Clemons began to resist officers.
Officials said she kicked and tried to elbow an officer, who suffered a hand injury as a result.
Clemons was booked into the Dane County Jail and charged with battery to law enforcement, battery and disorderly conduct.
