Brush fire in town of Primrose knocked down after burning 30 acres

PRIMROSE, Wis. — The Mount Horeb Fire Department helped extinguish a brush fire in the town of Primrose on Thursday afternoon.

Dane County dispatch said it received a call at 2:50 p.m. for a report of the fire on the 1500 block of Highway 92. The fire had been called in as being in an open field.

Mount Horeb Fire said roughly 30 acres were burned, and it took over an hour to get the fire under control. No injuries have been reported.

Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
