HIghway 23 Construction Project Continues in Darlington

Officials with the Highway 23 construction project in downtown Darlington are planning to close Louisa Street and Highway 81 access this week and it will remain closed for 3-4 weeks. Ann Street will be re-opened on gravel when Louisa Street is closed. During the week of May 10th, paving work will begin on the River Street intersection, curb, sidewalk,and asphalt. Officlas plan to finish the River Street intersection during the week of May 17th while a temporary traffic signal for 1-way traffic across the bridge will be put into operation.
