LEBANON, Wis. — Authorities have identified the Dodge County man killed over the weekend in a UTV crash.
Officials said the man was found dead by police Saturday night after a passerby called to report the crash on Monroe Road.
Law enforcement officials with Dodge County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 60-year-old Otto Abolins of Ashippun, Wisconsin.
An initial investigation revealed the UTV flipped into a ditch when it entered the right shoulder of the roadway. Officials said Abolins was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet at the time, and he was ejected from the UTV during the crash.
Police said they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
