MADISON, Wis. — The eastbound Beltline is currently blocked between Gammon Road and Whitney Way for a police investigation.
The Madison Police Department says officers are on the Beltline searching for evidence of a possible weapons offense that happened earlier Thursday. As of 1:45 p.m., police said the closure should last approximately 30 minutes.
People are being asked to avoid the eastbound Beltline in that area and find a different route until officers leave the scene.
