MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Tony Evers has ordered flags be flown at half staff next weekend in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Evers’ order goes into effect at sunrise on Saturday, May 15 and ends at sunset later that day.
Peace Officers Memorial Day is an annual day of remembrance in honor of law enforcement officers who’ve lost their lives or been disabled in the line of duty.
