REEDSBURG, Wis. — Reedsburg police arrested a man Monday after he allegedly hurt a driver while damaging their vehicle with a hatchet.
According to a news release, the suspect caused a disturbance inside the victim’s vehicle while they were driving. The suspect reportedly hit the vehicle’s dashboard with a hatchet, and the victim suffered injuries during the incident.
The victim was able to pull over to the side of the street, but needed to be taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Officials said they were first alerted to the incident around 1:15 p.m.
Authorities did not provide any other details about the incident.
The suspect, 23-year-od Jacob R. Logterman, was arrested on suspicion of domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, possession of methamphetamine and possesion of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Sauk County Jail after his arrest.
