MADISON, Wis. — Madison police arrested a 26-year-old Middleton man in connection with a shooting on the Beltline last week.
Police said an occupied vehicle had been struck by gunfire after a road rage incident Thursday afternoon. A passenger suffered minor injuries, and the eastbound Beltline between Gammon Road and Whitney Way was closed for about an hour as police searched for evidence of the shooting.
The Madison Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit made an arrest Tuesday. Officials have not released the man’s name at this time, though the 26-year-old has been brought to the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
An investigation is ongoing.
