FITCHBURG, Wis. — A rollover crash on Highway 14 near Irish Lane injured two people and is expected to cause lane closures through Thursday afternoon rush hour, according to the Fitchburg Police Department.
Authorities said the crash happened around 1 p.m. The two occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash.
According to a Facebook post from the department, a critical piece of guardrail at the scene was damaged in the crash. Highway 14 between Lacy Road and County Highway MM was closed while crews worked to repair the guardrail and clear debris from the crash.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation initially said the closure was expected to last two hours, but transportation officials had yet to clear the scene as of 3:30 p.m. Fitchburg police said the lane closure was expected to last through rush hour.
