MIDDLETON, Wis. — Police officers were requested to check on a man and which led to his arrest for his suspected 6th Operating While Intoxicated offense on Thursday.
Officials said that when they located 71-year-old Thomas Schmitz at 2300 Maywood Circle, he was in his car and showed signs of impairment and smelled of alcohol.
He was given a field sobriety test and according to officers he failed. He was brought to Dane County jail and booked for suspected felony 6th OWI charges.
