MADISON, Wis. — More than 45% of Wisconsin’s population has received a least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, according to the state Department of Health Services.
DHS officials said 4,852,017 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Wisconsinites, while 2,284,309 people, or 39.2% of people, have fully completed the vaccine series.
Due to technical issues with its online system, as of 4 p.m. Saturday DHS said it was still working to update its data, which includes case and death totals.
On Friday, DHS reported 513 new cases and one additional death. About 7,500, or 1.2%, of the state’s 605,376 all-time cases remain active. Sixty-five more people were hospitalized, according to Friday’s data.
When DHS updates its data Saturday, this article will be updated.
