MADISON, Wis. — Nearly 2.3 million people in Wisconsin are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the latest data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
DHS officials said 14,493 doses of the vaccine were administered on Saturday, much lower than the 7-day average of 22,317 doses.
More than 45% of people in the state — 2,639,668 people — have had at least one shot of a vaccine, while nearly 40% — or 2,294,673 people — have finished their vaccination series.
For the second straight day, DHS said it was experiencing a technical issue in updating its online data. On Saturday, the data was updated by 5 p.m., but as of 7:30 p.m. Sunday, there was still no update to cases and deaths in the state.
On Saturday, there were 550 new cases of the virus and four additional deaths. About 1.2% of the state’s 605,926 all-time cases remain active.
