MADISON, Wis. — Hy-Vee will no longer require vaccinated customers and employees to wear masks in the company’s stores, unless there’s a local masking order in place.
Masking for non-vaccinated customers is still highly recommended, and is required for non-vaccinated employees.
Last week, the CDC shared updated guidance for fully vaccinated people saying its safe for them to go mask-less inside most places. The CDC still recommends masking for unvaccinated people while indoors and whenever social distancing isn’t possible outdoors.
Masking in Dane County is still required in places like grocery stores, restaurants and other businesses, but most surrounding counties no longer have mandates in place.
