MADISON, Wis. — Over 40% of Wisconsinites have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Health Services.
The DHS said 2,675,652 people, or 46% of the state’s population have received at least one dose of vaccine. Health officials said 2,335,093 residents have completed the vaccine series, or 40.1% of Wisconsin.
According to DHS data, 4,953,257 doses have been administered throughout the state since December.

Wisconsin reported 448 new cases of the virus, which is higher than Wednesday’s case count and the seven-day rolling average of 389. As of Thursday, health officials have identified 2,671 cases of COVID variants in Wisconsin.
The state has reached an all-time total of 607,586 confirmed cases, with 6,696 cases remaining active. The seven-day average percent positive by test has remained roughly the same at 2.7%.
Two more people have died of coronavirus complications, which puts the statewide death toll at 6,978. DHS officials said 63 were also hospitalized, which is slightly less compared to Wednesday’s hospitalizations.
