Two people were injured during a house fire on Loras Boulevard in Dubuque on Tuesday night. The Dubuque Fire Department reports that crews were called around 9pm for a fire in the home’s basement. Upon arrival, officials discovered two people who had suffered burn injuries. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment – neither their names nor conditions were released. Firefighters reported having the blaze under control within 15 minutes. Fire officials say the two-story home has substantial damage. No other occupants were found in the building and no injuries were reported by emergency personnel on the scene. The fire does remain under investigation at this time.
