WHITEWATER, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Police Department has asked for the public’s help with identifying a sexual assault suspect following an incident Saturday afternoon.
Police said the assault happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. but were unable to provide an exact location of where the incident took place on campus.
Officials released photos of the suspect in a Facebook post Monday.
The suspect has been described as a white man who is possibly Hispanic with a tan complexion. He has an athletic build, black hair and is taller than 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He is believed to be in his late teens or early 20s.
Officials said the man had been wearing a gray T-shirt, black Adidas athletic shorts, black or dark blue Adidas NMD shoes and a backward black baseball hat. The man also had white wireless earbuds similar to Apple AirPods in both ears.
The man was seen riding a dark-colored soft tail mountain bike. The suspect reportedly told the victim during the assault that he was from Virginia.
