MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after a westside resident flagged down a patrol officer to report an occupied residence had been hit by gun fire.
The victim reported first hearing a loud noise at their residence in the 1000 block of Gammon Lane around 9:30 p.m. Monday, but they didn’t see any damage. When they woke up, the resident noticed a hole in the window and damage to a wall.
Police said they found a bullet casing outside of the residence.
The department’s investigation is ongoing.
