A man from Mineral Point avoided injuries in a one-vehicle crash in Lafayette County Thursday. A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s department responded to English Hollow Road in Fayette Township Thursday around 5:30pm for a one vehicle accident. 39 year old Jimmy Mattison JR of Mineral Point was traveling south on English Hollow Road and swerved to miss a deer and crashed into a rock wall. Mattison’s vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.
