MADISON, Wis. — More than 2.5 million people in Wisconsin have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series, according to the state Department of Health Services.
As of Monday, 2,504,163 people have been fully vaccinated, which is 43% of the state’s eligible population. In Dane County, nearly 60% of residents have finished the vaccine series.
Health officials said 2,823,834 residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, or 48.5% of Wisconsin. A total of 5,260,696 doses have been administered throughout the state since December.
Marquette University announced all of its students will be required to get the COVID vaccine ahead of the fall semester.

The seven-day average percent positive by test remains below 2%, with Monday’s average falling to 1.3%.
The rolling average of new COVID cases per day is at 133, and the state’s all-time total of confirmed cases has amassed 611,000.
According to DHS data, the seven-day average of confirmed COVID deaths per day slightly decreased to 3. The statewide death toll has reached 7,161.
