BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police are investigating a homicide after responding to a shots fired report Monday morning.
According to a news release, officials were dispatched to the 1700 block of Porter Avenue shortly before 11:30 a.m.
Police arrived to the scene and found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim later died from his injuries at a local hospital.
Officials said the suspect and victim likely knew each other and that the shooting was targeted. Police are unable to provide information on the suspect at this time.
