ROME, Wis. — A business in the town of Rome sustained significant damage due to a fire Monday afternoon.
A news release said the Rome police and fire departments were sent to 384 State Highway 13 at around noon for a report of a business on fire.
Officials saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the building when they arrived. No injuries were reported, but the business had sustained both fire and water damage.
The Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office and Rome officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
The Big Flats Fire Department, Nekoosa Fire Department and Nekoosa Ambulance Service also assisted at the scene.
