MADISON, Wis. — University Health Services offered Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine at a pop-up clinic at the Porter Boathouse on Friday.
It was open to students, faculty and the community at large.
Over the past week, health care workers have administered about 3000 vaccines at similar events.
“It’s convenient, we’re able to offer the vaccine for anyone in the community, and we want to show up where people are,” UHS Communications Director Marlena Holden said. “So for example, this also a testing location, so being able to pair a testing location with a vaccine clinic feels like a wonderful opportunity.”
UHS says they plan to continue hosting pop-up clinics in the future. There’s another one scheduled at the Kohl Center next Friday.
