PORTAGE, Wis. — Two people were arrested Friday night after a traffic stop in Portage.
According to Portage police, Mackenzie Barney, 33, and Dallas Arneson, 34, were taken into custody and booked into the Columbia County Jail on several charges, including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
A news release said police initiated the traffic stop in the 100 block of East Franklin Street for a traffic violation. Police K-9 Area was deployed for a free air sniff and alerted to the car, which had a large amount of methamphetamine and a firearm.
Police also executed a search warrant on a nearby home where there were signs of drug distribution and sales.
