QUICNY, Wis. — Adams County authorities arrested six people over the weekend after a burglary-turned-car-chase ended at a local park.
Law enforcement officials were called to the 2400 block of 18th Avenue shortly after 2:35 p.m. for a report of a burglary in progress. When they arrived, authorities tried stopping the suspects, but they drove off in a Ford SUV.
A vehicle chase followed and ultimately ended when the suspect vehicle became disabled near the camping area at Castle Rock County Park. Police arrested four suspects inside the park, and another two who were spotted and identified walking away.
An initial investigation revealed the suspects stole a gun and ammunition during the burglary, but were thrown from the suspect vehicle during the chase. Both the gun and ammunition were recovered by police.
Authorities said the victim of the burglary knew one of the suspects.
In total, six people were arrested. Jamieson W. Patterson, 27, is facing charges of burglary while armed, first-offense OWI, fleeing/eluding an officer, recklessly endangering safety, criminal damage to property, three counts of bail jumping, and resisting/obstructing an officer.
Byron C. Thundercloud, 24, is facing charges of burglary while armed, criminal damage to property and bail jumping.
Ariana K. Cloud, 30, is facing charges of burglary while armed – party-to-a-crime, criminal damage to property – party-to-a-crime and resisting/obstructing an officer.
Benjamin F. Hopinkah, 27 is facing charges of burglary while armed and criminal damage to property.
Erika M. Houghton, 23, is facing charges of burglary while armed – party-to-a-crime and criminal damage to property – party-to-a-crime.
Evelyn V. Funmaker, 24, is facing charges of burglary while armed – party-to-a-crime and criminal damage to property – party-to-a-crime.
