COVID Trending Down

Wisconsin’s 7-day average for new COVID-19 cases is again continuing its downward trend. According to Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the state’s 7-day average has dropped to 104 cases. That’s down from Monday’s average of 112. The state’s 7-day average for new cases hasn’t topped 200 since the start of June. Since the start of the pandemic, health officials have confirmed a total of almost 612-thousand cases of COVID-19 throughout the state. To date, 72-hundred Wisconsinites have died from COVID-19 complications. As of Tuesday, a total of 44.5% of the state’s population had finished their vaccination series, meaning almost 2.6-million Wisconsinites are fully vaccinated. A total of 49.2% of the state’s population has gotten at least one dose of vaccine.
