MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin’s seven-day average of new COVID cases per day continues to sit below 100 as the state approaches a vaccination milestone, according to the state Department of Health Services.
The daily case average saw a minor increase to 77 on Wednesday, and the state has reached an all-time total of 612,329 confirmed cases. DHS officials said the seven-day average percent positive by test has also stayed at 0.7%.

Health officials said 2,897,121 residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, which is 49.8% of the state’s eligible population. As of Wednesday, 2,650,158 people have completed the vaccine series, or 45.5% of Wisconsin.
A total of 5,475,203 doses have been administered throughout the state, including 6,166 in the past day.

Health officials said the statewide death toll has amassed 7,261. According to DHS data, the seven-day average of confirmed COVID deaths per day has stayed at one since June 14.
