MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are searching for a suspect following a hit-and-run on the city’s west side Wednesday afternoon.
Police were sent to South Gammon Road and Tree Lane at around 1 p.m. for a crash investigation involving an injury. Police said a citizen stopped to check out the crash when a 22-year-old Black man pointed a gun at the person and demanded he be “driven out of the area.”
Officers learned the suspect’s vehicle was also stolen from the area of Old Sauk Road, according to an incident report.
Police have developed probable cause to arrest the man on multiple charges.
