MADISON, Wis. — Nearly 2,750,000 people have gotten vaccinated in Wisconsin since vaccination efforts began more than six months ago.
To date, 2,932,340 Wisconsinites, about 50.4% of the state’s population, have gotten at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, according to Wisconsin Department of Health Services data. A total of 2,748,738 Wisconsinites, 47.2% of the state’s population, have completed their vaccination series.
Health care officials have administered a total of 5,610,067 doses of vaccine, 4,846 of which were administered in the past day.

The state’s vaccination progress comes as cases statewide have largely stabilized. As of Friday, the seven-day average for new cases sat at 73, up slightly from Thursday’s average of 71. Since the start of the pandemic, 612,994 people have tested positive for COVID-19.
Wisconsin has not recorded a seven-day case average of 100 or higher since June 14.
The seven-day average for percent positive by test remained at 1% Friday.

On a county-by-county basis, only four counties still have a high level of case activity. Fifty-one counties still have a medium level of activity and 17 have low levels of activity.
As of Friday afternoon, the seven-day average of confirmed COVID deaths remained at one. One new deaths was reported in the past day. At least 7,315 Wisconsinites have died of COVID-19 complications since the start of the pandemic.
