MADISON, Wis. — Applications for Madison’s Independent Police Monitor position are now open.
The position, which was approved by the Madison Common Council last year, will be responsible for reviewing incidents in which force is used, oversee citizen complaints against officers and make sure reviews of the Madison Police Department’s policing are independent.
Applicants must be a Madison resident, according to the job posting. The position comes with an annual salary of $103,636 – $139,909.
