DANBURY, Wis. — A Silver Alert was issued for a Burnett County man who went missing Monday morning.
The state Department of Justice said Gary Farsund, 80, was last seen leaving his cabin in Danbury at around 11:30 a.m. Officials said he was headed to a store in Webb Lake before going to the hardware store in Siren.
The man later called someone at around 4:15 p.m. and said he was on Highway 77. He did not know where his exact location was, though the compass in the van said he was going north. His last cellphone ping was in Washburn County.
Farsund is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds and has brown eyes and white hair. He was seen wearing a pair of gray shorts and a gray T-shirt. He drives a gold 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with the Minnesota license plate EKA286. The vehicle also has rust on the sliding doors.
