ARCADIA, Wis. (WKBT) – Ashley Furniture will pay $19,115 in penalties following the 2020 death of an employee at their Arcadia facility.
Officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration also issued Ashley multiple citations related to of the lockout tagout standard.
It addresses the practices and procedures necessary to disable machinery or equipment.
In a statement to News 8 Now an Ashley spokesman writes “While we differed with many aspects of the original citations, we cooperated in the department’s review and had positive dialog with OSHA that led to a final resolution.”
