JANESVILLE, Wis. — The free COVID-19 testing site at Blackhawk Technical College is shutting down next week.
The testing site, which is operated in partnership with the Wisconsin National Guard, is now scheduled to close July 22. Officials had planned to close the site a week later, but a continued decline in use due to low levels of COVID-19 activity in the county prompted officials to shut it down early.
The testing site’s final hours of operation are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 14 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday, July 15 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday, July 21 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday, July 22 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Rock County residents are still encouraged to get tested if they’re experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Residents can find more testing options on the Rock County Public Health Department’s website. Residents can also call the county’s COVID hotline at 608-352-6727 to find a testing site.
