JANESVILLE, Wis. — A garage fire caused an estimated $35,000 in damages Friday morning, according to a news release.
Officials were sent to the 1800 block of South Osborne Avenue shortly before noon for a report of a detached garage fire with flames showing.
Crews at the scene said a two-car garage was fully involved in flames. The fire was knocked down within 10 minutes after officials arrived.
No one was hurt or displaced, though two nearby homes sustained minor exterior damage.
The fire also resulted in heat damage to the overhead powerlines. Spectrum and AT&T have since been notified, the release said.
The garage has been considered a total loss, with officials estimating $25,000 in property damage and $10,000 in content damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
