Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges

A man from Louisiana was arrested by Grant County authorities after a traffic stop near Hazel Green Monday night around 10:30pm.  A deputy from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Eagle Point Road near O’Leary’s Lake Recreational Area. As a result of the traffic stop, 37 year old Jessie Bailey of Haynesville, Louisiana was arrested for Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance-4th Offense. As a result of assistance by K9 Sam, of the Cuba City Police Department, Bailey is also being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Ecstasy, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bailey was taken to the Grant County Jail where he is being held for an initial court appearance. Cuba City Police Department and Kieler Service Center assisted at the scene.
