MONONA, Wis. — Fish, reptiles, small mammals and plants were collected on Sunday — no questions asked.
The Aldo Leopold Nature center held its exotic pet surrender event for pet owners who are unable to care for their pet.
Organizers said releasing it might seem like the right thing to do, but it’s actually harmful for the animal and the environment.
The center is still closed to visitors, but people can find more information about upcoming programs and events on its website.
