MADISON, Wis. — A crash on Madison’s northeast side caused widespread power outages for some Madison Gas & Electric customers, but service for many has since been restored.
A representative with MG&E said the outage happened when a vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Northport Drive.
According to MG&E’s outage map, nearly 2,000 customers were without power as of 11:50 a.m. As of 12:15, that number had dropped to just seven.
