MILWAUKEE — In honor of the Milwaukee Bucks’ first NBA Championship in 50 years, Gov. Tony Evers has declared July 22 “Bucks In Six” Day.
The declaration coincides with the Bucks’ championship parade planned for Thursday afternoon in downtown Milwaukee. By winning against the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the team fulfilled the prophecy of former Bucks guard Brandon Jennings, which has become a rallying cry for the team.

“I, Tony Evers, Governor of the State of Wisconsin, do hereby proclaim July 22, 2021, as “BUCKS IN SIX” DAY throughout the State of Wisconsin and I commend this observance to all our state’s residents.”
After the Bucks’ Tuesday night win to clinch the championship, Evers sent out a message of congratulations in true Wisconsin form.
