JANESVILLE, Wis. — With an excess supply of fried foods and rides known for nausea, county fairs aren’t typically known for being bastions of good health, but the Rock County 4-H Fair is making efforts to change that.
Rock County public health officials announced Tuesday that AMI Expeditionary Healthcare will administer COVID-19 vaccinations at the Rock County fairgrounds from between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. from July 27 through Aug. 1.
Anyone age 12 and up is eligible to get vaccinated with Pfizer’s vaccine, and anyone 18 and up will be able to get the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Those who get the Pfizer vaccine will need to get a second dose at least three weeks after their first shot.
