JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department has released the name of the 56-year-old man who died in a crash Saturday.
The incident happened near Highway 51 and West Arrowhead Shores Road in Fulton at around 6:40 p.m. According to a news release, the man was driving a small car and reportedly hit a SUV that was heading in the opposite direction.
Ricky Gilson, of Janesville, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials completed a forensic examination Sunday, with preliminary results confirming Gilson died of injuries he suffered in the crash.
A 54-year-old passenger who was in Gilson’s car remains in critical condition. Three people in the SUV were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Further testing is underway, and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department continue to investigate the crash.
