MADISON, Wis. — People living above a Madison boutique, damaged during a crash early Monday morning, will be allowed to return home.
No one was hurt when a car crashed into the building that houses Change Boutique on Williamson Street. The building was evacuated due to structural damage.
A building inspector for the city of Madison assessed the damage and deemed it safe for residents living above the store to return home.
Police said the driver of a vehicle lost control before hitting the building.
The owner of Change Boutique expects the store to be closed for ” a long time” as repairs are made.
