MADISON, Wis. — Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a roadside garbage fire that broke out on the city’s west side overnight.
Crews responded around 2 a.m. Thursday to the area of Raymond and Frisch roads for a fully engulfed trash fire near the roadway. The burning pile was fueled by furniture, blankets, trash and more.
Firefighters used an estimated 200 gallons of water to put out the fire.
The Madison Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Team is working with the Madison Police Department to determine the cause.
