JANESVILLE, Wis. — Masks will soon be required inside of all Rock County county-operated buildings due to rising COVID-19 cases.
The Rock County Board of Supervisors on Thursday voted to reinstate the masking requirement, which goes into effect on Monday, Aug. 16.
Officials said the policy will remain in place until Rock County sees two consecutive weeks with moderate or low community transmission based on the CDC’s data tracker.
Anyone visiting a county building who doesn’t have a face mask will be provided one before they’re allowed to continue. Anyone who chooses not to mask will be provided with county services via other methods.
